Ryzom massive multiplayer online role playing game's developer and publisher Nevrax announced the Ryzom Ring launch for October 3rd, preceded by a 2 week preview event taking place on the main servers. The expansion is a seemingly free upgrade for the existing Ryzom players, taking the adventure to completely new levels. Players become able to create their own quest-lines in a persistent online world, further expanding the game through homebrew moding and delving into the pleasures of becoming the next generation Game Masters, as Nevrax calls them Adventure Masters.

"On this Ryzom's second anniversary week, we are proud to be able to offer to all of our subscribers a preview of Ryzom Ring directly on the main live game servers", declared Daniel Miller, CTO and Executive Producer of the Ring.

The next two weeks will see paying customers handle a fully functional set of Ryzom Ring adventure creation tools and player run adventures, albeit with a restricted set of creatures and maps. But the preview is available for anyone to play, since free trial accounts are also eligible for the preview, yet they will be unable to actually join others in playing the custom made adventures. October 3rd will see the Ryzom Ring launch and with it all, content restrictions will be lifted. An interesting addition is the rating and reward system, allowing the best maps to be promoted high in the player preference top, for wider availability. This kind of player-made content implementation is unparalelled in the ever changing world of MMORPGs.

Exploring the world of Atys, you shall be granted access to new and impressive landscapes and NPCs to use in your own role playing transfiguration of reality. The entire Ryzom bestiary will eventually be available, along with a huge array of terrains, ecosystems and environments on display in Ryzom. From here, player made adventures are just a few clicks away so don't miss out on the greatest player/developer community in the making.
