Ryan Seacrest is one of the most powerful (and busiest) men in television right now, while Julianne Hough is one of the few artists to have a successful career in dancing, movies and music. If they have plans to be one big happy family soon, Ryan isn’t saying.

Ryan and Julianne started dating in 2010, just as rumors about his reported secret orientation were about to take over the Internet.

They played it coy at first, even refusing to be photographed together but, presumably, once they decided that what they had was serious enough, they went public with the romance.

For the past year or so, they’ve been constantly plagued by wedding rumors, which would explain why one reporter from the AP could not just let it go during a recent promotional appearance for American Idol.

He asked Seacrest whether he and Julianne had any plans to get married, to which Ryan replied with, “Are YOU getting married?”

The “are you?” banter went on back and forth for another while, after which Seacrest dropped it, having successfully managed to dodge the question.

Though Julianne has said in past interviews that she could see herself spending the rest of her life with Ryan, she never talked about marriage specifically.

She did, however, talk once about how intimated she was when Ryan first hit on her (which was the first time they met), especially since she was with somebody else at the time.

“Mutual friends would be like, 'You guys would match perfectly.' And then eventually when I was single, he emailed me. I was very cold. I was nervous about dating him because he is a very scary person. He’s powerful and influential,” Julianne said in an interview last summer, as we also reported at the time.

“I was like, 'No, no, no' but it just ended up happening. Our inside joke is that we have to schedule scheduling hanging out. But it somehow works,” she added.
