The beginning of the month of May seems pretty interesting

The Steam for Linux platform is now big enough that new titles manage to surprise users all the time and the top selling list of games is changing on a regular basis.

Euro Truck Simulator 2, a game developed by SCS Software that allows players to roam the highways of Europe in a huge truck, is resting comfortably in the tenth place. It's been a while since the game was in the top-selling list, but it definitely deserves to be here.

Nekro is a new action strategy title that was just released on Steam for Linux and comes with a 25% discount. It's still in the Early Access Game program, which means that it is still under development. It's a little like the famous Overlord franchise and it seems to have quite a success, so the ninth place is earned.

Starbound takes the eighth place. This is a procedurally generated adventure game developed by Chucklefish Ltd. in which the player takes on the role of a character who’s just fled from their home planet, only to crash-land on another.

The seventh place is taken by Left 4 Dead 2, the famous co-op FPS survival game from Valve. The game has been missing from the best-selling list for some time, but now this amazing co-op FPS has returned and without any help from a discount.

Counter-Strike: Source, another title that has been mysteriously missing from the first page on Steam for Linux, is now in the sixth place. This is a game that needs no introduction or description.

The fifth position is occupied by the Kerbal Space Program, a multi-genre game in which the players have to create their own space project and make a successful launch without killing the astronauts.

Football Manager 2014 is in the fourth place and it's also the most expensive title on the list. Still, it's almost at the top of the list and it managed to get there without any help from discounts.

Trine 2: Complete Story is in the third position, but it had help from a whopping 90% price cut. This 2D platformer that combines action and puzzle solving is one of the first games to land on Steam for Linux.

The second place is occupied by Garry's Mod, a physics sandbox based upon the Source engine used in Half-Life 2. This is not even a game, but people seem to like it and they buy it nonetheless.

The first place has been confiscated by the same game that had the final say last week, Rust. This is a first-person survival game that takes place in a persistent universe, which most of the time doesn't make any sense. It's not even out of Beta, but this is the most liked game on Steam for Linux.

Enjoy!
