14 DAY TRIAL // The Russian media is filled with reports that Evgeniy Sapaev, a famous local actor, has resorted to drastic measures in his bid to change his gender and become the woman he always wanted to be. The news was picked up by English sources who now claim that the actor nearly died when he decided to chop off his genitals at home.
Evegeniv is known to the Russian public for many roles, but also for the part he played in the Russian blockbuster “Burnt by the Sun 2.” His efforts to transition to womanhood were known, as the actor became increasingly feminine with time, but no one knew that he was so desperate to become a woman, nor that he had such dangerous plans in mind.
The actor narrowly avoided death as he had lost a lot of blood after cutting himself
The Mirror is claiming that the actor was admitted to the hospital in his hometown of Gorokhovets, Russia, with severed genitals. Doctors were able to save his life, stitch up the gaping wound left behind, but could not, however, reattach the severed member.
The actor, known as a heartthrob in his native Russia, is believed to have cut off his own manhood in a desperate, last-ditch attempt to become a woman. The 38-year-old could have died due to severe blood loss, were it not for the prompt response of the emergency services called in by one of his neighbors.
The neighbor who saved him admits he was confused to see the actor bleeding on his front door
The neighbor, Arkhip Tikhonov, says that he called the ambulance when Evgeniy showed up on the doorstep covered in blood and white-faced from major hemorrhage, “He knocked on my door and when I answered. He looked like a ghost, he had lost so much blood.”
The neighbor explains that at first he was confused as to what was going on, “His face was deathly white and he had blood all over his hands. At first I thought he was preparing for a new role in a film or a play. But when he collapsed on the doorstep I saw he was holding his severed [genitals] in his hand and realized something serious was up so I called an ambulance.”
One of the hospital's officials later told the press that the actor was lucky to be alive. He could have easily died because of all the blood he lost in his desperate attempt to remove his male reproductive organs.

Evgeniy soon regained consciousness and admitted that he was indeed the one who caused the cut and it was all because he was keen on becoming a woman. “Ever since childhood I felt that I wanted to be a woman,” he confessed.
“I tried four times in the past to carry out the operation on myself but always lost my nerve. But this time I was determined and after taking a load of painkillers I sliced it off with a sharp knife”, the actor concluded.
Many of his fans were shocked by the news and some pointed out that there are cleaner, safer ways of changing your gender. One female fan said, “I don’t care if he wants to be a woman. What I find strange is that he did the operation himself rather than going to a hospital.”
