With Windows Phone 7 set to become official in a matter of weeks, it was only natural that more rumors on it emerged, including one that allegedly brings to the display an LG Windows Phone 7 device headed for Sprint's network in the US.

We've already spotted a series of such LG devices into the wild, but it seems that this is a new piece of hardware.

The handset emerged in what seems to be a leaked photo over at WebOSWorld, and got detailed in a recent article on IntoMobile, which claims that it might be one and the same LG Apollo that made it into the wild before Windows Phone 7 was even official.

The rumored specifications list of this device includes a Qualcomm QSD8650 1.3GHz application processor, complemented by 1GB of RAM and 1GB of ROM.

Moreover, the mobile phone is expected to arrive on shelves with a 3.8-inch capacitive AMOLED “Multitouch Supported,” capable to deliver a WXGA 1280 x 720 pixel resolution.

The list would also include a 10-megapixel photo snapped with flash and auto focus, which should be able to shoot HD 720p videos @ 30fps.

It seems that the handset might land as a world phone, with CDMA / GSM and EvDO / HSDPA connectivity on board, while measuring 115 x 57.5 x 11.2 mm.

A 1400 mAh battery would be powering this beauty, offering up to 7.5 hours of talk time or up to 288 hours of standby time.

The specs list of the so called LG Apollo would also include support for WMV, MPEG-4 (MP4/M4V) H.264, DVR-MS4 and WMA, Advanced Audio Coding (AAC-LC), FairPlay DRM, MP3 file formats.

For what it's worth, this Windows Phone 7 device seems set to offer a nice range of high-end features to its users, though its specs are also somehow a little unbelievable, that's for sure.

However, other devices were already rumored to land on the market with similar specs, and chances are that this might pan out in the end, though we'll take it with a grain of salt until some more confirmation on it emerges.
