The secret project will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive

A rumor has surfaced stating that Hideo Kojima is planning to announce a big PlayStation 3 exclusive at Tokyo Games Show in September. This possible reveal is set to dominate Japan's biggest gaming event. Nothing else is known about the title other than the fact that it will be published, as usual, by Konami.

The game was supposed to be launched during the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo, but was delayed to September because Kojima apparently wanted to polish the demo even further. It probably won't be Zone of the Enders 3, as Kojima stated in the past that he was focusing on another big project that would break certain taboos. It will be interesting to see if this massive reveal is what Kojima was talking about back then.

Kojima Productions' presence at E3 last week was quite spectacular, as the company showed two new, very interesting titles, Metal Gear Solid: Rising and Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D. Metal Gear Solid: Rising may be the sword action game that so many action fans have waited for. While Hideo Kojima is not heading the project himself, he is heavily promoting it. MGS: Rising will allow players to use the main character's sword to slice enemies or even parts of the environment as they wish. This is also Kojima Productions' first Xbox 360 release. Rising will be also hitting the PlayStation 3 and the PC sometime next year.

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D will be released exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS and will take full advantage of the recently announced handheld's strengths. Nintendo used a non-playable demonstration of Snake Eater 3D during E3 to showcase its latest console power. Reports from the convention stated that it was really impressive, adding depth to Snake's stealthy adventures in the jungle. Unfortunately, a release date has yet to be announced for the title, as well as for the Nintendo 3DS, for that matter.
