A rumor from Traveller's Tales

There are quite a lot of things children like, but two of them, games and Lego puzzles, have joined up and formed a very interesting combination. The brainchild of the Traveller's Tales studio, this unique concept has spawned quite a lot of interesting titles, like Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones or the most recent Lego Batman franchises.

Because such games have sold extremely well, it seems that the team at Traveller's Tales is bent on continuing to bring unique concepts and franchises into its Lego series of games. Although nothing is known, in a recent interview with the United Kingdom's Radio One, the development team revealed that a new Lego game would appear this year.

This led to some very vivid speculations, with a number of analysts claiming that another Indiana Jones title might appear but, as some “inside sources” told ComputerAndVideoGames, it seems that the next title for Traveller's Tales will be a Lego Rock Band game, made in partnership with Electronic Arts, the publisher of the Rock Band music game. These rumors are said to be “100 percent correct” and claim that the previously-reported Lego Harry Potter game, made in collaboration with Electronic Arts, won't be made in the near future.

Although this piece of news might seem a bit shocking, the fact that two very popular franchises, the Lego one and the Rock Band one, might come together is certain to get a big number of fans very interested in this possible game. Let's not forget that, although the Harmonix-developed Rock Band music game appeals to a lot of people, there still are a lot of customers who haven't bought the game yet, and a merger between the two brands might make a lot of people decide to pick up this possible game.

But, as of yet, no official word that might shed some light on this subject has been received from Traveller's Tales or Electronic Arts. So it seems that we still need to wait until we can rock out with our favorite Lego brick characters.
