One of the hottest smartphones from RIM, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100, has already been sold in every corner of the world, except for the US. The device was announced in April and made it on the market in May, but a carrier is yet to pick it for distribution in the country. Even though it's built to support most of the US network carriers (HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100), it seems that Pearl 9100 has been refused by T-Mobile for unknown reasons.

According to the guys over at PocketBerry, the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 might make it to the US market, as a parts supplier has listed for sale an AT&T bottom cover. Known as a very serious seller, True Supplier lists mostly genuine OEM parts. Also, the fact that the supplier sells various parts before they even release the devices is another strong reason to believe that AT&T is indeed getting RIM's smartphone.

BlackBerry Pearl 9100 features GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 and HSDPA 900 / 1700 / 2100 network compatibility and boasts a TFT display with 262K colors and 360x400 pixel resolution. It only has a half-QWERTY keyboard, but includes a touch-sensitive optical trackpad. Other highlights of the device are: HSDPA 3.6 Mbps (HSUPA), GPS with A-GPS support (BlackBerry maps), 624 MHz processor, 256 MB internal memory, microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.5 mm audio jack and dedicated music keys.

There's no information about the exact launching date or price, but judging by the fact that the supplier has already listed some of the Pearl 9100's parts, it shouldn't take too long for AT&T to make the official announcement.
