Fairies and dubbers under development

If there is one thing you have to appreciate when it comes to Nintendo Wii or DS consoles, except for the innovative control methods, it is the originality of the titles released exclusively for these two consoles. You will get absolutely crazy stories, characters and goals, stuff that might be so strange that you'll actually love to play. Or, at least, you'll be more than willing to give it a try.

One of the unknown titles that rises out of nowhere is Dubbers Adventure, announced by Lexicon Entertainment for DS and Wii consoles. It seems pure and really inoffensive, so pure actually that it can't make you think of some kinkier stuff. And having in mind that everything we have on this game at the moment is a press release with no screenshots and that this game's type is not even mentioned, one can let his imagination fly really far away. Of course, none of this kinky stuff I'm talking about will ever be real in a Wii game, but, at least, we're having fun thinking of them.

So, here it is: your name, as a Dubber Adventure player, is Rubb'e'Rang and you are a Rubber Dubber, a furry little fellow (of course, Mr. Rubber!) who hunts parasites which infest the trees you live in. Honestly, living in a bush would've suited better Mr. Rubber, the parasite hunter, but that would've been too direct, wouldn't it?

Anyway, you are one of the best tree climbers in the Dubber world and keep training hard with the fairies in the forest. Honestly. And that's not everything! Your best friend is a fairy and her name is Petal because she wears (now you really have to hold on tight) yellow petals and... soft pale pink petals. So... she's a flower, right? Pink, blossom and stuff... or I'm just too damn sick-minded?

Really, now: I am absolutely sure that my interpretations are completely wrong (even though the developers suggest that you might be able to find some romance along the way, probably with Petal) and this game is as innocent as the Dubbers' world itself. I have no idea what type it is, but you will have 15 enemies, (probably) some bosses to fight against and no less than 90 levels. It's got arcade written all over it, but I might be wrong (again). We'll see as soon as Lexicon Entertainment offers more details on it or when the game is released, sometime in the last quarter of 2008.
