Jennifer Lopez is very careful about her image these days, to the point where you hardly hear any one of her collaborators say bad things about her in the press. Rosie Perez, with whom she worked on “In Living Color” as she was starting out, is the exception.

The two have been feuding for years and it looks like nothing is about to change in this respect anytime soon.

Perez is coming out with a new autobiography, “Handbook for an Unpredictable Life,” with the New York Post obtaining a few excerpts that confirm that, as far as their rivalry is concerned, it’s just as strong as ever, if not actually more.

Rosie and Jennifer met in 1991 on the TV show, where the former was a choreographer and the latter was an aspiring dancer and TV star. Despite her good-girl image, Jennifer was anything but that, Perez argues.

However, she was deceived by appearances at first too, even talking to the show’s host and creator to let Jennifer on board, even if they considered her “chubby and corny.” They insisted that she cut her hair short and lose some weight, but Perez vouched for her, she writes.

In only a very short while, she was about to get a good taste of the real Jennifer Lopez.

“All of the girls were coming into my office complaining how she was manipulating wardrobe, makeup, and me, all to her advantage,” Perez writes.

Then, Jennifer dropped the diva act completely and “went off” on Perez like “some ghetto [B-word], screaming and pounding her chest,” she claims. Jennifer’s problem was that she felt as if she wasn’t getting enough attention.

“You pick on me, me and only me, every [expletive]-ing day! Every [expletive]-ing day! I work my [backside] off, deliver and you keep pushing me aside, treating me like [expletive]! I know I’m good! I’m better than any of these girls, and you know it,” Jennifer reportedly yelled at her choreographer, in what seems like a scene from a B-movie.

Jennifer left after 2 seasons to pursue a career in film, and Perez claims that, while she imaged this would be the end of it, she still heard for years to come that she was saying bad things about her behind her back.
