Producers are courting Rosie right now because she's “controversial”

As the hosts of The View are coming on air to say their heartfelt goodbyes and maybe shed a tear and give each other consolatory hugs, the producers are already scrambling to bring in their replacements, and the rule right now is: the more controversial, the better.

The show's current hosts, Jenny McCarthy, Sherri Shepherd and Whoopi Goldberg weren't cutting the mustard and that's why the bosses thought they needed someone who can stir things up. Enter Rosie O'Donnell, a woman that can make an argument out of anything.

TMZ is reporting that Rosie is in “active negotiations” with the network over a spot at the table on The View, and it seems that they've already begun to talk about money. In fact, the TV people are so eager to sign her to the show, that an official announcement could be issued by tomorrow.

At the moment, the talk show host panel is made up of Whoopi Goldberg and possibly Rosie O'Donnell, so it's going to be very interesting to see who else the producers will bring in to complete the lineup and have the chemistry needed to spark up ratings.

Surprisingly, among the people that have shown interest to appear on the show, Sarah Palin's name also came up. Who else thinks this is a bad idea?
