Before she became a part of the biggest movie franchise of our times, “Transformers,” Rosie Huntington-Whitley modeled for Victoria’s Secret so it’s no wonder she’s in top shape. She does put in some effort into it, she reveals.

The first-time actress, who caught director Michael Bay’s eye when he directed a commercial for the lingerie giant, graces the cover of the latest issue of Women’s Health.

In the accompanying interview, the stunner says she also owes her excellent figure to her mother, but not in the sense that she inherited the right genes from her.

Rosie’s mom was a fitness instructor, so that meant she was also made to keep active, even at those times when she didn’t necessarily feel like it.

“As children we were never allowed to sit around watching TV or playing computer games,” Rosie recalls.

To this day, she works out every time to make sure she’s always in top shape. However, she also pays close attention to her diet, making sure she eats only the things that are right for her.

“Think about the things that go into processed foods – chemicals, additives. Sometimes you go into a supermarket and the apples are all the same size and color, but that’s not what apples are supposed to look like,” Rosie says.

“Go to an orchard or an organic farm, and the apples are sometimes knobby, but they taste better,” she adds.

Consequently, she makes sure she gets only the best of foods, from the best possible sources.

Asked about how she’d describe herself, Rosie reveals she doesn’t see herself as the stunner others see when they look at her, and that’s probably because she’s a tomboy deep down inside.

“I’m girlie, but I’m also a tomboy. I’m a split personality like that,” she explains.
