Developed by Dare and the Hamburg-based game developer FISHLABS, Rollercoaster Extreme for iPhone is now available for download on the AppStore. The game is inspired by the successful Barclaycard Roller Coaster TV ad.

Following the last year success of another adaptation of a Barclaycard TV ad, Waterslide Extreme, Fishlabs is now continuing its smash hit lineup of games.

Knowing that Waterslide Extreme registered over 10 million downloads from the App store in just a few months, we're pretty sure that Rollercoaster Extreme will meet all iPhone users expectations.

With the iPhone game Waterslide Extreme, we were able to realise our famous Waterslide campaign on television, the web, YouTube, and on mobile platforms, and thus create a buzz for our brand among our target group on every screen,” says Hannah Deans at Barclaycard.

“It made sense to use this approach again with our partners Dare and FISHLABS for our new roller coaster campaign,” continued Deans.

Rollercoaster Extreme sends players in the concrete canyons of the Big Apple, to try out tricky tracks and reach the finish line as fast as they can.

Players have to be careful, as they will need to collect objects in order to boost their points, while racing against time.

Avoid bridges and gigantic wrecking balls that hover over your head and unlock additional tracks in the heart of New York, as reward for gaining top speeds and collecting maximum amount of objects.

Some of the highlights of the game include: 3D view of New York; Unlockable courses; Player interaction with the game environment on every course; Swing the iPhone or iPod touch to grab for items or to duck; Special Rollercoaster Extreme badges to collect at every difficulty level; Bonus points for speed and collecting several items in a row; Loops.

‘To date, Waterslide Extreme has generated over 14 million downloads and is - not least because Apple promoted the game worldwide as “highly addictive games” - by far the most successful ad game for the iPhone,’ notes Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment. ‘In our opinion, Rollercoaster Extreme has what it takes to beat that success.’

Rollercoaster Extreme is available now for free download in the AppStore.
