Those of you waiting impatiently for Roku to make it outside of the US boarders have now a reason to rejoice as the company has just announced its plans to expand operations in Canada and the UK in early 2012.

Roku is right now negotiating with its partners to see which streaming services will follow it in these new regions, but one highly likely candidate is Netflix, which already operates in Canada and announced its UK expansion plans just recently.

Of course that a series of region-specific channels will also be on offer together with a series of causal games such as Angry Birds, but GigaOm doesn't have any additional details about these channels right now.

Pricing hasn't been announced, but at $49 (31 Pounds or $50 Canadian) the Roku LT should fit anyone's budget.
