Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers has just made available for pre-order its own version of Samsung Galaxy S, the Android-based Galaxy S Captivate.

Those mobile phone users in the country interested in securing one unit for the official launch should head over to the carrier's website here to place an order.

The Samsung Galaxy S Captivate model available for pre-order there is the 16GB flavor, which comes in black, and which sports a price tag of $149.99 on a three-year contract agreement.

We should also note that the pre-order offer will expire on October 20th, as Rogers notes on its website.

This confirms previous rumors regarding the availability of Galaxy S Captivate at Rogers starting with October 21st, even if the wireless carrier does not confirms this officially.

In addition to the Android-based mobile phone itself, those who will place pre-orders at Rogers should receive a free WEP570 Bluetooth Headset, the wireless carrier announced.

A few days ago, Rogers made the handset available for pre-order on its website, stating that the offer will expire on October 16th, but pulled it off soon after.

“We’re making tweaks to the site and it hasn’t officially launched it yet. Should have an update for you in the next day or so,” the carrier explained, as MobileSyrup noted in an post at that time.

However, it seems that now the pre-order period has kicked off officially, and that we should expect for the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate to land at Rogers on October 21st.

In case there are some of you unfamiliar with what the mobile phone has to offer, we should mention a large Super AMOLED touchscreen display, complemented by a 1GHz Hummingbird processor from Samsung.

A photo snapper with video recording capabilities on the back, along with a wide range of connectivity options are also there, as well as fast access to various social networking sites, and Google services and applications.
