Reputed games developer Rockstar has just revealed, besides the fact that it is quite pleased with the stunning success of its most recent Red Dead Redemption title, that it still has quite a few ideas that didn't make it into the final project.

Without a doubt, one of the biggest games to appear last year was Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, coming from the company's San Diego studio.

The game impressed with its stunning story, great gameplay and realistic graphics, not to mention a very addictive multiplayer mode.

As you can imagine, fans have been clinging to every word coming from Rockstar that might confirm that a sequel is being worked upon.

Now, the company has decided to offer a few brief statements that tease at the possibility of a another Red Dead title.

When talking with the Official PlayStation Magazine, Rockstar's vice president of product development, Jeronimo Barrea, said that on every game the company developed, a lot of ideas didn't make it into the final product.

"For all the games we work on, we have a massive number of ideas that [don't] make it in."

As you can imagine, this leaves the possibility to see some of those ideas implemented in another game.

Barrea then thanked the fans for promoting Red Dead Redemption through word-of-mouth, guaranteeing a massive success for the title.

"[We're most pleased] either that huge numbers of people loved the game enough to play through to the end, and then encouraged friends to play it - we hope without spoiling the end for them - or at a more basic level... that we could convince that many people that they wanted to play a game about the wild west," said Barrera.

Rockstar San Diego declined to reveal their next project, but it's safe to say that a sequel to Red Dead Redemption is in the works at the company.
