Reading the title above could fool you into thinking that U2 is going to perform at the Super Bowl during half time. Such an assumption would be wrong, though. The legendary rock band is going to release the song in the form of an ad.

The campaign is made in partnership with Bank of America and its aim is a charitable fund raising. The announcement was made by frontman Bono together with Bank of America CEO Brian Mmoynihan at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The ad is said to contain just 60 seconds of the song and it will urge viewers to download the rest of this limited-edition song from iTunes. The download is said to be free during the game and for the next 24 hours.

For its part, Bank of America will be donating one dollar for every download that occurs during that time to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

So there you have it, some good music AND a good deed, all accomplished by watching the Super Bowl.
