The legendary rockers from Status Quo are branching out their entrepreneurial efforts into the beverage industry. Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, the two members of the band, plan on launching their own brand of beer, “Piledriver.”

And because they don't have much of an expertise in the field of producing alcoholic beverages, the rockers have partnered up with Wynchwood Brewery in Oxfordshire, England to produce a brand of beer that bears the name of their hit 1972 album, “Piledriver.”

The Morning Advertiser reports that the rock duo have picked up quite a lot from this experience in terms of making your own beer. Parfitt told them that “The whole process of making beer is quite amazing. I don't think many people realise what goes into making that lovely beer with a nice head on it.”

Meanwhile, Rossi praises their beer as having “a bit of a kick to it,” warning customers not to be fooled by the low 4.3% alcohol content issued on the label.

He confessed to a less than proud experience: “Interestingly enough, while sipping it, suddenly my knees went. It knocked my knees out, I tell you.”

The “Piledriver” beer was officially launched in the United Kingdom on February 7.
