Just as Harmonix, MTV and EA had announced that Fender Musical Instruments Corporation would feature exclusively with Rock Band (for the PS3 and Xbox 360), the game just became an interesting subject to discuss, also reminding gamers that there's more to music games than just Guitar Hero (not that GH isn't good). This is what everyone already knew so far. What wasn't known until today, is that Rock Band will set PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers back $300 - peripherals and game.

Rock Band's peripherals from Fender are priced in the following manner according to Joytiq:

- Rock Band (game) - $59.99 - Rock Band drums set - $79.99 - Rock Band microphone - $49.99 - Rock Band guitar controller - $59.99 - Rock Band wireless guitar - $79.99

Thus, as the site points out, the cost of Rock Band would come in at $309.95 with the wired controler and $349.95 for the set containing the wireless guitar.

When the peripherals available for Rock Band were announced, the provider stated: "Fender is pleased to be part of Rock Band and the exciting opportunity it offers passionate music fans and gamers. Our friends at Harmonix have done an amazing job of capturing the power and style of legendary Fender products within the virtual gaming experience and delivering it all in the spirit of rock 'n' roll."

Well, it doesn't sound so all-in-the-spirit-of-rock 'n roll, with gamers having to spend just over 300 bucks to get everything on the right level with the game.
