According to a reliable mole, Xbox 360 gamers are getting wired controllers

First of all, although this hasn't actually been officially confirmed, Opposable Thumbs' mole is said to be quite reliable, so until we hear other versions of the story, we'll have to go by what we've just found out. According to the source, the $199 price point for the whole Rock Band bundle is legit. More than that, the package itself is said to weigh in at 20 pounds, while the PS3 version of the game will be the only one featuring a wireless guitar. The Xbox 360's controller is apparently a wired one.

So while both versions of the Rock Band Bundle has been priced at $200 (if we go by this rumor), it seems that PS3 owners are being favored. In case you didn't know, retailers have the game's wireless controller priced at 80$, so I'm guessing the whole bundle is a pretty good deal, again, for PS3 owners especially.

Some while ago, GamesIndustry.biz had Harmonix shedding some light on the game's price issue: "I think when it's just rumour [about the pricing] and no one has anything tangible to hold on to, people can be afraid - but the fact is we're very conscious of it, and we're doing our best to make it awesome and affordable," said Harmonix Art Director Ryan Lesser.

Later on, according to Playstation Universe, "Electronic Arts has addressed the USD 199 price point that retailers recently applied to the company's upcoming Rock Band title, insisting it is nothing more than pure speculation." EA promised a "reasonable" price point for the game.

Separately, Rock Band will set you back USD 59.99, along with the drum kid (USD 80), guitar (USD 60) and microphone (USD 30). Yup, the game's currently rumored price point is now $30 less than before. Well, it is a bundle after all...

As soon as official word hits our ears, we'll make sure to provide updates as soon as possible. Until then, don't hope that the bundle's price is actually lower, but hope it's not higher than $200.
