Plus a Joan Jett & The Blackhearts track

Rock Band is getting a new pack from Harmonix and MTV Games. The two companies announced today a Grohl-packed pack with nothing but good songs. Most of the tracks will come from Nirvana and Foo Fighters, but it will also feature a song from Joan Jett & The Blackhearts. If the last name is less known, Nirvana easily claims the title for best grunge-band, while Foo Fighters has some amazing achievements of its own.

To celebrate 20 years since Nirvana released its debut album, Sub Pop Records will launch a special version of the Bleach album. It will contain the previously unreleased live concert the band performed in 1990, in Portland, Oregon. The album will be launched the same day as the special “Nirvana Bleach Pack” that will contains the songs “About a Girl,” “School” and “Blew.”

On the same day that the DLC will become available, Foo Fighters will also release its Greatest Hits. The album will be made up of 14 songs, some of which are included in the Rock Band downloadable-content pack.

The last band to add its tracks to the Rock Band DLC will be the American rockers Joan Jett & The Blackhearts that will add a song from their 1984 album, Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth. The songs will become available on the Xbox 360 and Wii on November 3 and on the PlayStation 3 on November 5.

Each song will cost £.99 UK, €1.49 EU or 160 Microsoft points for the Xbox 360. The “Nirvana Bleach Pack” will go for £2.49 UK, €3.99 EU or 440 Microsoft points, while the “Foo Fighters Pack 03” will cost £3.49 UK, €5.29 EU or 560 Microsoft points. The Wii will get each individual track for 200 Wii Points.
