The development team at Harmonix has just revealed six of the songs that will be included in the upcoming Rock Band 4, and the list features some very familiar names that will impress music lovers with their variety.

According to IGN, the studio is saying that the coming music simulation will include:

Avenged Sevenfold - Hail to the King Fleetwood Mac - You Make Loving Fun Jack White - Lazaretto The Killers - Somebody Told Me Spin Doctors - Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong The Who - The Seeker

Harmonix says that this is only a small sample of the tracks that it plans to introduce when the full version of the title launches and that it will offer the names of more bands and songs in the coming months.

Rock Band 4 is designed to introduce a range of new features, all of them designed to give players more opportunities to express their personalities as they play their favorite songs.

The singer will be able to move away from the classic singing line of a track, as long as they stay in tune, and if they have friends and extra microphones, the game accommodates harmonies and backing groups.

For drummers, the title will also include new random sections that make sure that no song is ever the same when played multiple times.

Harmonix says that more details about the gameplay of Rock Band 4 are coming soon.

The company is focused on the legacy of the series

Ever since the new music title was announced, the studio made it clear that it would support instruments that were released for older versions and that it also plans to support songs that gamers already have in their libraries.

The idea is to give fans access to a wide variety of tracks and to then enhance the experience of playing them via the new mechanics of Rock Band 4.

The Harmonix title will face competition from a reboot of the Activision-published rival series, Guitar Hero, which is also getting a new version.

The Live installment is coming with a new design for the guitar and with a set of mechanics that focus on the interaction between player and public.

Rock Band 4 will be launched on the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony at some point in the fall of this year.
