As rumored earlier this month, Robin Thicke has decided to name his latest album after his wife Paula Patton, who broke up with him when she (allegedly) got fed up with him being a serial cheater. “Paula” drops in stores on July 1 and above is the official artwork for it.

If this doesn’t make Paula understand that Robin is sorry and he wants her back, nothing will.

The singer posted the photo of the album cover on his Instagram, with the caption “#Paula 07.01.14.” We don’t have a tracklist just yet but I hear that he’s recorded several songs in which he sings about losing the love of his life and fighting tooth and nail to get that woman to take him back. That would be Paula in real life, of course.

So here’s a theory. Thicke has been in the industry for many years but he only went big with the controversial “Blurred Lines,” which was practically the biggest song of 2013.

How do you top such an excellent performance? The truth is that, in today’s industry, it’s very hard to do it, which is why so many artists (not just musicians either) become one-hit wonders no matter how hard they work or how much talent they have.

Years-old rumors claim that Robin and Paula always had an open marriage and that this was never a problem for them. She never filed for divorce either, even if the separation was announced in February – meaning, at about the same time Robin was back in the studio.

Could it be that the split never happened? Could it be that the whole thing was orchestrated by PR people to boost interest in Robin’s next musical release and thus help him top the success he had with “Blurred Lines”? I wouldn’t rule it out completely. You?
