14 DAY TRIAL // Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were over in San Diego a few days ago, at Comic-Con, to present and talk about “New Moon,” the second installment of “The Twilight Saga.” Their interaction during the entire event has been labeled anything from awkward to distant and cold, but things were entirely different when there were no cameras around, Ted Casablanca says for E! Online’s The Awful Truth.
However, fans must bear in mind that Casablanca’s column rarely has anything to do with real facts, being like a special corner destined for rumors and gossip, where hearsay and insider’s tips weigh in heavily. Still, that does not mean there isn’t some truth to the recently surfaced rumor that Pattinson and Stewart spent the night together at the same hotel in San Diego, where they enjoyed full VIP treatment, including a separate entrance and guards all over the place.
“So how did Robsten spend some much deserved free time Wednesday night before their crazy day on Thursday? We hear from well-placed sources that Rob and Kristen were ‘together’ Wednesday night, happy at last, on the 11th floor of the über-hip Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. ‘They were so private,’ dish our in-the-know eyes. ‘They were hardly seen by anyone. Their people made sure of that. But [Rob and Kristen] were there. They had a secret entrance to the hotel and everything. Who knows their specific sleeping arrangements, but [Rob and Kristen] were on the same hotel floor.’” Casablanca writes for The Awful Truth.
Moreover, the columnist says, plenty of efforts went into assuring that no one knew of the special arrangements of the two, especially after what had happened at the Comic-Con discussion earlier that day. For those who do not know, although being instructed to steer clear of all personal questions, a member of the audience asked Kristen and Robert whether they shared the same chemistry they did onscreen behind the cameras as well. Because of this and due to the kind of rumors now circulating in the media, it is believed bosses at Summit Entertainment told the two to play it cool for the media.
“Remember how we told you Rob was given a bit of a break before heading back to New York to finish filming ‘Remember Me?’ He was supposed to stay down in San Diego Thursday night, too, but instead, Rob decided to head back up to L.A. early... with Kristen! The San Diego airport is literally 10 minutes from the H.R. hotel. That’s why Rob flew straight into S.D. Wednesday from NYC. Couldn’t possibly imagine why he would choose to depart out of LAX instead and spend the weekend up in smogville.” Casablanca further writes.
