14 DAY TRIAL // After having a wonderful time together at the Coachella Festival this weekend, rumors about a possible affair between Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry began to pop up again, but with new force, now that both of them are single, willing and available.
A source close to both of them told The Sun that “The pair had a fling a year ago but they went their separate ways after John [Mayer] wooed Katy back and Kristen [Stewart] made it clear that she still wanted her Twilight co-star.”
Now, things have changed, and the source claims the timing is perfect for these two to start things up in a proper way, becoming an official couple, “But things have gone cold with R-Patz and K-Stew since, with them both deciding it's time to move on.”
The source also gives reason as to why these two should stop messing around and get things moving in the right direction. “Katy and Rob are the best of friends with a very strong chemistry. They care a lot about each other but have always been careful not to upset Kristen. But Kristen's off doing her own thing and accepting it's time for both of them to move on.”
Finally, the source concludes that “Friends genuinely want to see them get it together properly. They think they bring out the best in each other.”
It seems that people close to the two are rooting for them to be together since they seem to get along well, not to mention the fact that they have fun when they are around one another. All of this points into one logical direction but, for some reason, these two refuse to seal the deal.
Perry might still have some mourning to do after her recently deceased relationship with fellow singer John Mayer, but for Pattison, who famously split up from Kristen Stewart last year after he caught her cheating with director Rupert Saunders with whom she'd been working on “Snow White and the Huntsman,” it's definitely time to move on.
But until Robert works out the nerve to ask Perry for more than her friendship, these two remain just best buddies. Sources claim that they had a good time together at the H&M Loves Music Party taking place at the Coachella Music Festival as they schmoozed the VIP area and took photos with fans.
And while all of this was going on, Kristen Stewart, a regular Coachella attendee in previous years, passed on the opportunity to meet Robert Pattinson, either on purpose or accidentally, by staying behind in New Orleans, where she's getting ready to film “American Ultra” on April 15.
