14 DAY TRIAL // This fall, fans of Robert Pattinson will have to say farewell to his Edward Cullen character on “The Twilight Saga” and, at the same time, embrace a new one: that of a decadent, terrible businessman in “Cosmopolis.”
Directed by David Cronenberg, the film is one of the most hyped of 2012 – and Pattinson is helping with that by posing for a very weird and disturbing spread for Premiere France magazine.
For those of you who can't tell, all these photos (see the gallery below) are inspired by Cronenberg's films.
“Rob was sorry that they weren’t more daring, wanting to push all the limits with this shoot – the complete opposite of what someone in his position would have asked,” the magazine writes, speaking of his involvement in the making of the spread.
“Two days later, the photograph Eliot Lee Hazel and his crew – sort of strange for this kind of shoot (a special effect makeup artist, a pregnant lady …) – met in a gloomy hotel in downtown LA to give the go-ahead of this shoot that lasted for exactly 13 hours,” it adds.
The result, the mag promises, will make any “Twilight” fans see Pattinson in an entirely different light from now on.
“Cosmopolis” opens in France on May 23 and will also premiere at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
