Robert Pattinson makes it clear one more time that he wants nothing more to have with former girlfriend Kristen Stewart by choosing to appear next to good friend Katy Perry instead of taking up her invitation to attend Coachella with his “Twilight” partner.
In the time Robert and Kristen spent together, they made it into a tradition to attend the festival every year together, so this year, it was rumored that Kristen reached out one more time, in hopes that the past will be forgotten and they will be able to make amends.
Sadly, this wasn't meant to be because Robert chose to attend the festival with good pal Katy Perry, the one he is rumored to be having an “open relationship” with. Those rumors gained new life after this weekend when they were seen attending the same H&M Loves Music party on Saturday night.
The fact that Katy Perry is recently single isn't helping the “just friends” theory and somewhere in the crowds of fans at the festival, Kristen must be crying her eyes out.
A source present at the event tells Celebuzz, “They arrived separately 10 minutes apart from one another around 1:30 am. The two met up at the VIP section during Major Lazer's set and shared a friendly hug.”
But, as the evening went on, things between them progressed and they were seen getting friendlier. They were spotted posing for a photo which would indicate that they were indeed hanging out together.
Robert has been single ever since he split up from Kristen last year, and since then, the media has been eager to pair him up with all sorts of leading ladies. His friendship with Perry has been under the spotlight ever since a video of the two performing karaoke back in 2008 emerged.
While singing “I'll Make Love to You,” Katy was sitting in Robert's lap and playfully mouthing the words along with him. She begins singing from her song, but then decides to get closer to the “Twilight” actor by sitting in his lap.
The fact that Kristen just celebrated her birthday last week and was looking forward to have a party at Coachella together with Robert only goes to show that Robert intended to make the fact that he's moved on very clear.
What better way to spite your ex than to appear with your rumored fling at the very event where you were supposed to take him/her instead? Of course, this only works if there are still feelings involved, and Kristen has expressed her regret about cheating on Robert since she got caught. But Robert is still not putting it behind him.
