Gary Barlow hints in radio interview that Robbie Williams’ stay with Take That may be just temporary

Take That is back in the 5-member format that made it the biggest selling British boy band in pop history – yet fans shouldn’t get ahead of themselves with the excitement of the moment because Robbie Williams is not “back for good.”

Whether he’ll be leaving the band soon or later on is yet to be determined but, according to fellow member Gary Barlow, Take That is and will always be a 4-piece group.

The statement comes from Barlow himself, as noted above, who dropped the bomb during a recent radio interview in celebration of his 40th birthday.

“Barlow joined Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show yesterday morning ahead of his actual 40th birthday today. And the lengthy broadcast gave Barlow plenty of opportunity to talk about the situation with Take That,” the Daily Mail reports.

During said interview, Barlow offered clear indication that Robbie’s return to the group may be only temporary, something that wasn’t even hinted at before.

“I think even moving forward, I know we’re back with Rob right now, but we still see our future as a four-piece band,” Barlow said during the interview, as per the Mail.

“We see Take That as a four-piece band in general. When we came back in 2005 we had the conversation, ‘Can we do this as four?’ Thanks to the fans who bought the records, we proved we can,” the singer added.

This will undoubtedly send fans of the band in utter shock, since Williams’ return to the group after a 15-year absence was like the dream they never thought would come true.

Proof of that is to be found in the impressive sales of the album the band put out shortly after the reunion, “Progress,” as we also informed you a while back.

“Progress” was the biggest pop opening in 13 years, moving 520,000 items in its first week of release.
