15 years after their bitter split, Robbie Williams and Gary Barlow have come together again for a duet called “Shame,” whose video has just premiered online and has the two bromancing à la “Brokeback Mountain.”

The lyrics of the song talks about the troubled relationship the two had over the years, and especially about how hard it was for them to muster the courage to express the feelings they had for each other.

The video, though, goes for a lighter note, with a very tongue-in-cheek nod at the Oscar-winning film “Brokeback Mountain” to depict the bromance between the two, as the Daily Mail also puts it.

It sees the two walking down the same street and exchanging glances, only to decide later to have a drink together at a club. The next scene sees them together, trying (and failing) to say what’s on their mind.

When they finally do manage to do that, they decide to go up a mountain for some cliff diving – only to realize the jump is too steep and call it quits. The message is clear though: no more hard feelings between the two.

“Shame” will be included on Williams’ upcoming album of greatest hits, “In And Out Of Consciousness,” which will be released soon to celebrate his 20-year career, as well as his marriage to Ayda Field.

Aside from that, Robbie and Gary will also be performing “Shame” live for a cause. The single is now out on radio in the UK.

“It’s great that people love Shame so much and we can’t wait to perform it live for the first time at the Help For Heroes show... We hope everyone supports Help for Heroes as much as possible – it’s a great bill and we are thrilled to be a part of it,” Robbie says in a statement to the Mail.

Useless to say, reception of “Shame” has been extremely warm, with countless fans going online to say it was wonderful to finally see the two best friends bury the hatchet and starting afresh.

They also applaud the video, which manages to come across as funny, but without taking anything of the seriousness of the track.
