He may be back with Take That, but Robbie Williams is not yet ready to put his solo career to rest – much to the delight of his fans, one must add. In a recent blog post on his official website, Robbie says he’s hard at work for his next solo album.

Now back in Los Angeles after touring with the reunited Take That, Williams is hard at work. As he puts it, he only has a short while to wrap up lyrics on a few songs that will go on the album.

Of course, he’s not starting from scratch: he already has about 30 tracks done, and that doesn’t even include those scrapped from previous releases.

“Well, I have (it seems), a mountain of songs to finish lyrics for… So many tunes are in a good shape now, maybe 30 knocking around and that’s not including the ones that never made [‘Radio Killed the Video Star’],” Robbie writes.

He’s in for some hard work and long nights, but Williams is clearly looking forward to the experience.

“The future’s bright. I’m looking at my most consistent album to date. I have a month to tie up loose ends lyric-wise,” he explains.

“I will remember all your kind words about what my songs mean to you as I struggle for 8 hours over one rhyming couple… This seems to happen more and more often these days,” he reveals.

With all this, Robbie is confident he will get the job done in time – then, Take That bandmate Gary Barlow will produce the new material, he writes.

Even if William is now busy at a solo project again, he isn’t ruling out another album and tour with Take That either, as he made it clear in a recent interview for the British press, cited by AOL Music.

“We have to ride again, we have to – it’s too much fun,” he said.

Robbie Williams’ new album is believed to arrive in stores sometime before Christmas. Keep an eye on this space for more details on it.
