14 DAY TRIAL // Robert Kardashian Jr., the sock-designer in the Kardashian family, has been in hiding for almost a year now, and from what we can make from the current season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, he’s not talking to his sisters or mother either.
They have hinted that his self-imposed isolation from the world has to do with the fact that he’s been gaining so much weight and that he’s not able to shift the extra pounds. InTouch Weekly claims there’s more to the story.
Rob Kardashian is a drug addict
Rumors that Rob might have developed an addiction have been around for some time, but they were never as serious as now. Basically, until now, it was believed that he was self-medicating, and maybe smoking too much weed and occasionally indulging in Sizzurp. He was also drinking himself to sleep on one too many nights, it was said.
Sources are now telling InTouch that things have gotten considerably worse for the once-sociable Rob, because he’s now hooked on crystal meth.
“He’s a drug addict,” says a “friend” who chooses to remain anonymous. “His problems started because of his social anxiety. He began doing drugs to help cope with everything. But now his issues are all magnified.”
Even worse, Rob will not admit that he has a problem and will not let anyone help him. He’s not doing anything on his own either, so he has become a “total mess.”
One of the most recent teasers for new episodes of KUWTK shows Kris Jenner, Rob’s mother and the Kardashian matriarch, crying and asking for a specialist to help him because she fears he “might die.”
Rob is the “black sheep” of the family right now
Over the past year and more, there have been so many troubling reports about Rob that it’s almost surprising his sisters, who are so quick to defend each other whenever the situation requires it (even if that means getting into nasty Twitter fights), aren’t saying anything about it.
If anything, they and their mother were more than happy to turn Rob’s struggles with his weight and whatever else problems he has into one of the biggest stories for the new season of their reality show.
Insiders claim that he didn’t even agree to that, because he doesn’t want to have anything more to do with them. Instead of taking this as a cue to cut him out of the show, they’re exploiting him for the ratings, effectively turning him into the black sheep of the family.
Sources close to Rob note that this only added to his depression.
