Known for her outrageous behavior on and off the stage, Rita Ora never really struck anyone as an outstanding actress, so it was a bit of a head scratcher when it was announced that she was going to star in the much-anticipated film adaptation of the best-selling novel “Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Now it has emerged that her experience on screen wasn't quite as smooth as you'd imagine. Rita had to play the part of Christian Grey's sister, Mia Grey. Since Christian is the leading character, the part played by the 23-year-old was also kind of a big thing.

Proving that she's a top professional, Rita learned all her lines the night before the shoot, but as soon as she stepped foot on set, the singer admitted that she promptly forgot everything she had rehearsed.

Furthermore, she was so nervous to be on the film set, that she found out that she had difficulties repeating what other people told her to say. This is pretty embarrassing for a person who makes a living in front of the audience and is also paid to remember the lyrics to her songs.

In an interview quoted by Heat Magazine, Rita Ora told of horrific things happening to her on set, “I had to have someone in my ear on set telling me what to say before I said it, because I was honestly like so nervous I forgot everything that I had learnt.”

After the initial jitters passed, Rita claims that she got some additional help in her ordeal thanks to Dakota Johnson, the actress playing main character Anastasia Steele. We find out that Johnson offered to help Rita with her lines so that they could get through the shooting.

Rita gushes, “She's a great friend of mine. She really eased me, and she was really nice to take care of me.”

What makes matters worse is the fact that Rita is actually very knowledgeable on the whole “Fifty Shades of Grey” front, or at least so she claims, because she says she read all three books. If you consider that she had the source material well set in her brain, it's hard to understand how she could have gotten so confused on set.

But the little problem on the set aside, Rita claims to have had a wonderful time being an actress for a while, despite the fact she was really bad at it. She also expressed her pride in being part of this project.

“The movie is as visually close as it can be. I think the actors are phenomenal in this and I'm just kind of honoured to be on the same wavelength as them. This being my first movie, it's pretty awesome,” said Rita proudly.

Until the movie doesn't come out on Valentine's Day next year, we really won't be able to see how Rita performed her part in the movie that has the world divided into two antagonizing parts: one that simply adores the books and can't wait for the movie, and another that hates the books and hates the movie even more, despite not having seen it yet.
