For just $75 (€55.4), you can eat your own face every time you feel like it

There's a new kind of selfie in town, and word on the street has it it's downright delicious and just the thing to brighten up the otherwise dull mornings most people experience all throughout their workweek.

Not to keep you in suspense any longer, it looks like the latest trend is to have one's face replicated on a piece of toast, and then eat it for breakfast, presumably after smearing honey or butter all over it.

According to Huffington Post, those who want to get behind this trend need only acquire a $75 (€55.4) toaster, pictured above, that works by burning folk's mugs into otherwise boring slices of bread.

The company behind this innovative toaster, i.e. US-based the Vermont Novelty Toaster Corporation, says that, when placing their order for one or more such toasters, folks must also send a selfie.

Based on this selfie, the company will piece together a personalized toaster and have it shipped to one's home in about a week after the order was placed.

“You don't have to be famous or Jesus to have your face on toast! Give us a hi rez photo of a face or pet and let out toast engineers create fun breakfast memories!”

“Allow up to a week to create and ship. We make it or your money back,” the company writes on a website advertising its state-of-the-art toaster.

I don't know about you, but I for one have to admit that I am narcissistic enough to get one such toaster. Would you ever buy one? Let me know in the comments section below.
