The acclaimed economy simulator Rise of Venice will be receiving its first major add-on called “Beyond the Sea,” and will take players to exotic new lands where they will be able to exert their influence and trade luxurious goods.

Be prepared to take on new challenges as this add-on will expand the game world with 13 new cities, from Marseilles to Portugal, offering further exploration and trading possibilities.

Moreover, players will encounter new residence missions as well as new Doge tasks, your family now playing a far more significant role in your position and plans.

You'll see that your family members will contact you with numerous tasks that will give the chance to earn special benefits.

Furthermore, the add-on lets gamers command a new class of ships, called the NAO, the famous type of ship in which the great Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492. Also, several improvements and optimization have been made, all based on Rise of Venice feedback.

In case you might be new to the game, it presents Venice, city of decadence, beauty and mystery at the peak of its power during the Renaissance.

Players will take the shoes of a young man, constantly fighting for success and with the help of his/your family you start building a trading empire across Tripoli, Genoa, Rome, Alexandria and Constantinople, plus other important cities from that time period.

As you begin to expand your empire and progress through the ranks of Venetian society, you can start to assemble your own personal fleet.

This will provide new challenges as it will offer the chance to build new production facilities as well as experience sea battles against pirates and political enemies.

Beyond the Sea add-on will be available for PC on Steam and other digital platforms starting November 21, at $19.99 / €19.99.
