As if being booed and having people throw chips at her weren't more than enough to put Rihanna in a bad mood for a rather lengthy period of time, the singer must now deal with a lawsuit filed against her by the funeral company that handled her grandmother's burial.

Rihanna's grandmother, Clara Brathwaite, passed away in June 2012.

At that time, the singer was devastated and considered that the best way to show her appreciation of Clara was to throw her an extravagant funeral that cost dozens of thousands of dollars.

The burial ceremony took place in Barbados, and was followed by a party thrown in Clara's honor, International Business Times reports.

“#grangranDOLLY time for your party in Barbados.”

“#grangrandolly you are going to have the best party today. #allblackerrthang! and I'm gon' try to hold it all in, try to hold back my tears,” read some of Rihanna's tweets from June 2012.

Just in case anyone is wondering how a funeral can come to be this expensive, it must be said that Rihanna rented several tents and multi-media screens for both the burial ceremony and the after party.

What's more, she ordered loads of floral arrangements, GossipCop informs us.

When all was said and done, the funeral company presented Rihanna with the bill. Not to beat about the bush, they asked her to cough up $150,000 (€112,708).

The singer considered that the bill was exorbitant, and refused to pay it. According to the same source, she gave the funeral company just 25% of said sum, and went about her business.

Come to think about it, she should have expected that the company would sooner or later come asking for the rest of the money.

Rihanna is yet to comment on the funeral company's decision to file a lawsuit against her. When she does, be sure you'll learn about it here.
