Rihanna calls Taylor Momsen to warn her she should stop bad-mouthing her in the media, says source

Taylor Momsen of “Gossip Girl” is now fronting a rock band called The Pretty Reckless and, while promoting their first EP, she name-picked a few stars, making derogatory statements about them. Rihanna, though, will not stand for it.

In one of her recent interviews, Momsen said she found Rihanna annoying for borrowing elements from her own rock girl image, her leather jacket more specifically.

Sources are now saying for Digital Spy that Rihanna also got wind of Momsen’s comments and personally saw to it that she’s put in her place.

Admittedly, RiRi found out Taylor’s phone number and called her to tell her to keep her mouth shut or not to go to the media with comments on things she knew nothing about.

“Rihanna did not take kindly to a 17-year-old making such rude comments about her, especially since they flooded the internet as soon as they were released,” an unnamed but reportedly very reliable source says.

“She got Taylor’s number through a friend and called her up, telling her to back off and act her age, Rihanna is not the kind of person you want to mess with,” the same insider adds.

What convinced Rihanna that Taylor had a bone to pick with her, word has it, was the fact that, shortly after branding her “annoying,” Momsen backtracked, saying she’d been misquoted.

By then, of course, was too late because her bitter remarks had already gone online, and speculation had begun about how Rihanna would respond to them.

“People think pop is rock, and the lines are getting blurred. Now Rihanna’s wearing [expletive]-ing leather jackets, and it’s really annoying,” Momsen said.

From that, she moved on to say how people were very much against her and her band, but how they were letting their music speak for them, which is something pop artists presumably didn’t do.

“I know nobody wants to like our music. Online, people said, ‘I really wanted to hate [the EP] but I like it’,” Momsen said.

“I hope things continue on that path. But I’ll be making more records whether people are listening to them or not,” the singer / actress added.
