The Halo television series for the Xbox One that is being produced by well-known Director Ridley Scott is at the moment filming in Belfast, Northern Ireland and one fan of the series has managed to capture actual footage of one of the actors in action.

The protagonist seems to be Mike Colter, who has previously starred in The Good Wife and The Following, and rumors are saying that he is playing a character called Marlowe, although his role in the new series is not known at the moment.

Both Ridley Scott and Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, best known for his association with Battlestar Galactica, are apparently present on site and directing the shooting process.

At the moment, the Halo-themed series has not received any clear info about the story, the major character or the way it is linked to the video games in the franchise.

Microsoft has not offered any sort of details on the project and has simply issued a statement which states, "343 Industries, Xbox Entertainment Studios and Scott Free Productions are currently working on a Halo digital feature project to be released later this year."

It adds, "The project will be executive produced by Ridley Scott and Scott Free TV president, David Zucker. Sergio Mimica-Gezzan will direct."

Original entertainment experiences are set to be released on the Xbox One home console starting in June and the company has created an interesting line-up, which includes straight up drama, comedies, some stand-up, documentaries and reality shows.

Since the next-gen device was first announced, in 2013, the team working on it has said that it will seek to introduce a variety of new entertainment experiences that will offer users a whole new way to enjoy their favorite shows.

Another Halo-themed series is at the moment produced by Steven Spielberg and no details have been offered about its story and it's unclear where or when it will be filmed.

Video game developer 343 Industries has already said that it will launch Halo 5 at some point in 2015, but the company has not said whether the title will have a narrative link to the two television shows, other than the fact that they are all arriving on the Xbox One.

The new installment is subtitled Guardians and it seems that Master Chief will have to fight against a powerful set of cybernetic enemies that are seeking to destroy all life in the galaxy.
