A horse entered in a race at Belmont Park in New York has decided that she knows better and doesn't really need a jockey.

Downtown Hottie dumped the rider upon going through the gate and continued the race on its own.

Reports say that Luis Saez, who weighs 115 pounds (52 kg), has not been wounded upon impact.

According to News Max, the filly kept a steady pace through the first part of the race and went on to increase her pace on the last tours.

At the very end, she leaped ahead proving to anyone that she has a good head on her shoulders. She won the race by roughly eight feet, much to the dismay of the jockey riding runner-up Whole Lotta Shakin’.
