Ricoh, owner of the Pentax brand, has released today a new firmware version for its latest digital SLR camera, the Pentax K-3. The new build comes with a new feature as well as a few improvements meant to boost the camera's performance.

The latest Pentax K-3 firmware version, 1.02, adds a new Bracket Shooting function in the Anti-Aliasing Filter Simulator that joins the other two options. While Type 1 and Type 2 functions are designed to efficiently compensate moiré, the new Bracket option will further improve the simulation, allowing the camera to reproduce the effects created by an optical AA filter.

Besides this new feature, the latest update also improves battery level indicator stability when using a battery grip. The AF.C (continuous servo) shooting mode has also received a few tweaks that will allow it to perform even better than before.

If you own a Pentax K-3 DSLR and want to take advantage of the latest features and enhancements, you should download PENTAX K-3 Camera Firmware 1.02 right away.
