Reverend Guitars is now 10 years old!

It's time to salute the anniversary of a fairly new yet already well-known guitar manufacturer: Reverend. This is their 10th year in the business and it looks like their road is going pretty smooth. Reverend has pulled off some acclaimed models and has slowly grown to occupy its niche and it seems like people really like the results of their efforts.

Now, for celebrating this very beautiful age in making good guitars, Reverend has issued a special model, the Jetstream HB 10th Anniversary which will be available during 2007 only. This one has chambered mahogany body in silver metal flakes finish on the 5.5mm spruce top and traditional 25.5" scale rosewood fingerboard.

This model is by no means a top-of-the-top model but expresses best the way Reverend and founder Joe Naylor think guitars should be made. The Jetstream HB 10th Anniversary sports a hi-quality Wilkinson VS50 low-friction bridge and handwound Reverend pickups. If we've gotten to pickups, I must note that the Reverend pickups are differentially wound for bridge and neck positions, the first having a hotter response while the latter (neck and middle, if need be) being clearer so the player can model a very wide palette of sounds.

Related to sound, another Reverend innovation must be taken into the spotlight, the Bass Contour Control which ensures extreme voicing for the Reverend pickups, from making a humbucker sound like a single-coil or make the sound denser and fatter, as you wish.

Tone is very stable on all Reverend guitars due to the way they make them - cutting down volume won't chase away treble as cutting down the highs won't affect too much the levels.

Finally, the tuners are Wilkinson as well and they sport two sets of string holes making sure the strings stay in place once you've set them. Available only in 2007 at a recommended retail price of $599 in agreed stores, the Reverend Jetstream HB 10th Anniversary can be yours for free. Joe Naylor decided they'll give for free one guitar to one of their newsletter subscribers, randomly chosen. Now, I guess you don't need me to tell you anything more on the matter, don't you?
