Gelid has officially introduced its latest cooler, one that works with both Intel LGA central processing units, as well as CPUs and APUs (accelerated processing units) from Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).

The name of the product is Gelid Gamer Rev. 2 GX-7 CPU cooler, and the complete lists of supported sockets is as follows:

Intel LGA 775, 1366, 1155 and 1156, plus AMD AM2, AM2+, AM3, AM3+ and FM1.

There are even special backplates for LGA 775, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 motherboards.

The wide compatibility is available thanks to mounting clips included in the product page.

The Rev. 2 GX-7 CPU cooler is based on the GX-7, but has the Slim 12LP Blue fan and the multi award-winning GC-Extreme thermal compound.

It also gets a special array of 7 heatpipes, plus V-shaped aluminum fins (center of the heatsink only) and openings inside said heatsink, improving air flow.
