Tabernus Canem Edit

Even after the controversial game from Rockstar, Bully, was renamed for Europe Canis Canem Edit (not dog editing dog, but Latin for Dog Eat Dog), the game encounters problems with some U.K. retailers.

Bully came across several problems, as many have tried to stop this game from being launched. Just this week, a Florida Judge had to give his OK to Rockstar to release the game. He had to make his decision because Jack Thompson tried to impose an injunction on the game. The Judge examined the game for two days and then gave his go-ahead and declared that there is no reason for the game not be released.

Looks like some U.K. retailers are above the Judges' decision, as the management of the stores decided not to sell the game when it will be released. To be more exact, Currys and PC World, both owned by DGS International, declined the sale of Bully. Currys' representatives declared that Bully-Canis Canem Edit will ruin their "family-friendly image".

Currys has a history of not selling more violent titles like Saints Row, Yakuza, Gangs of London and another game from Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto. The biggest family-oriented retailer in the U.K., Woolworths, decided to stock the game, but representatives of the retailer declared that they will obey the legislation and that they will not sell the game to anyone under 15.
