How do almost 100 chicken end up being stray birds in a residential area? Well, not even the locals can accurately explain that, but they know one thing – they want the birds gone.

Fairborn neighborhood in Ohio has been overwhelmed by chickens over the last few years and no one has claimed ownership for the stray birds, making a mess on the street and disrupting the peace and quiet, notes WDTN.

Residents have been accepting the birds for some time, but they just had enough and are now not only concerned by their own well-being but for the birds' situation as well, as the feathered creatures keep getting killed or just die of hunger.

Locals have made several appeals to officials in order to remove the animals and take them to a farm or a special environment where they can be looked after. Local authorities agreed and they will be slowly moving the chickens to a nearby farm, but it will take a while to catch all of them.
