It seems that Resident Evil 5, the zombie shooter from Capcom, could be on its way to getting more content via DLC packs. The game was released back in March and was well received by gamers but the campaign, even if highly replayable, was pretty short and the multiplayer modes rather limited.

Capcom is probably thinking about putting out some more levels which can be played in single player and apparently it is ready to take ideas from gamers on what they are expecting.

Christian Svensson, a representative of Capcom, told BG247 in a podcast that “We’re talking about it. I don’t know if you have seen some of the threads on Capcom Unity, but questions came up on whether we are going to do any more. I asked what people would want to see and that spawned a thread that was literally hundreds of posts long and had tens of thousands of views.”

Resident Evil 5 moved the action of the series to an unnamed African nation where bioterrorism struck and villagers were infected with the zombie like virus. The action is pretty standard for the series, with two characters working cooperatively to complete levels, taking out enemies and completing puzzles to advance.

The game can be difficult at time, if only because Sheva and Chris cannot shoot while moving and because ammo is limited, but despite the artificial limitations placed around the action one can easily complete a run through the game in 12 hours.

The Versus DLC, which arrived very quickly after the release date, allowed players to compete against another in two game modes. Survivors was the most interesting of the two as it allowed players to slaughter each other. It remains to be seen whether Capcom will really offer more DLC and, more importantly, whether it will be something hefty enough to keep players occupied for more than a few days.
