Resident Evil is probably one of the most popular zombie shooter horror survival series of games out there. These titles have gained a massive amount of fans and critical acclaim for the innovative systems that were employed or the terrifying atmosphere that reminded of Japanese horror movies.

The latest installment in the franchise, Resident Evil 5, is set to hit the store shelves in spring, at the beginning of March, across all territories. But, as it is developed by Capcom, we learned a week ago that Japan would be getting the game, which is entitled Biohazard 5 there, a bit earlier. It will also receive a Limited Edition pack, which will include various goodies for fans, like art books, a 2 GB USB stick or a waist pouch.

But this won't be all the limited stuff that Capcom will release with this game, as the Japanese company has announced that it will offer console specific content when the game will be launched. PlayStation 3 owners will be treated with a special "making of" feature that will also be included on the disc of the game. The Xbox 360 edition, on the other hand, will be very different, as it will come in a metal case and will include a special CD entitled "Biohazard 5 Selection Track" which will feature the soundtrack of the game.

Although the 360 version might appear more tempting, it will come as a "Delux Edition" allotment, which means that when the stock will be depleted, another one won't come, whereas all the PS3 editions will have the "making of" feature. This means that Resident Evil fans will really need to decide quickly as to what version they will buy.

All in all, the game looks really good, and don't forget that the demo is set to appear around the holidays, so that a lot of horror fans will have something to thank Santa Claus for.
