47-year-old man uses nothing but his fists to kill 4-year-old Rottweiler

It turns out that not all animal rescue stories have a happy ending, regardless of how much we'd want them to.

A 4-year-old Rottweiler in south Florida was recently beaten to death by its new owner.

Ironically enough, the incident occurred just 4 days after the dog had been adopted by 47-year-old Brian Perry.

Daily Mail says that the man got angry when Gipper made its way towards a neighboring yard and started barking at other dogs.

The man reportedly used nothing but his fists to “discipline” the dog. To put it bluntly: it kept punching it in the face until the animal died.

Staff at the Gulfstream Guardian Angels Rottweiler Rescue, i.e. the shelter where Gipper lived before being adopted by Brian Perry and his family, are unable to explain the man's behavior.

“These people that adopted this dog from us went through the whole thing. We had excellent vet reports, we had someone visit their home, checking the home.”

“It was approved. And they came with their own dog to meet with us,” shelter Director Grace Acosta told the press.

Animal cruelty charges have been filed against Brian Perry. The man maintains that the dog was violent and that he only killed it to protect the dogs it was barking at and his family.
