The ghost town sits just miles away from busy Shanghai

You would never believe this, but there is a copied, empty British-styled town in China, near Shanghai.

It appears to be a ghost town – nobody actually lives in these buildings, but it can be visited by tourists and weddings can be held there.

The Daily Mail reports that it is actually called Thames Town and it features some of the landmarks of quint English towns – cobblestone, red telephone boxes, a Gothic church and Victorian, Georgian and Tudor-styled homes.

The houses in the replica town have apparently been up for sale, but it doesn't seem like a anybody has moved in; it looks more like big movie studios.

YouTuber Wade Shepard also posted a video of the Songjiang district tourist attraction and I have shared it above, to give you a feel of the place.
