Jam, study, play, write. All in one.

They say practice makes perfect and I agree; as a matter of fact, I hope you all agree. And even if you don't, this principle is so old and has been proven right for so many times that it transcends our capability to doubt it.

So did Nicolas Gonzalez Garrido when he thought of the ultimate practice device, music-related, of course. He developed the SoundGate, a semi-revolutionary device sworn on making any player want to jam along or study without feeling time passing away.

Now, I really don't know whether this complex device will be operated with much ease by children; I just know that this could make one of the future bestselling gadgets around as the karaoke-idea was.

The SoundGate is a bit more than a gimmick as it has extensive capabilities such as interactive music sheets and lyrics-related features and more important, it will work with a wide variety of inputs and outputs from virtually any kind of instruments. Imagine the possibilities: being able to jam along with your CD player and your guitar following a music score at low speeds so you can play even the most sophisticated solos?

With a 10" touchscreen and a QWERTY keyboard, the concept SoundGate has almost all input (whether instrument of human touch) it needs in order to integrate easily and quickly in any music person's life. Portable and at the same time stylish, the SoundGate not only works good but also looks exquisite as it is the product of the concentrated ideas of a design team and each member has added his/her personal touch in the final result.

And as if what does SoundGate offer at the moment wasn't enough, the producers are going further and claim they are most likely to develop some new, even cooler and more hi-tech gadgets to go with this training station. It's the case of a stand for the SoundGate equipped with a camera and a human-height display on which various video sequences could be shown.

Basically, the trend looks like it's set to bring the Sci-Fi movies close: imagine having your band projected just next to you and you jamming along with your mates! Maybe now it still seems like a thing from the future but just remember how many times you have seen "future" actually stumbling upon you...

So far, there hasn't been any price announced for the SoundGate and there still is no data regarding industrial production. Nevertheless, I guess such a move could be a very interesting one especially from the theoretical approach on music point of view.
