The official Bulgarian website of car manufacturer Renault (Renault.bg) has been breached and several of its subdomains have been defaced by a hacker of the Turkish Ajan Hacker Group that goes by the name of Maxn3y.

The hacker leaked the email addresses of over 6,000 users who had subscribed to the site’s newsletter. He also published the usernames and encrypted passwords of the website’s administrators, CWN reports.

Besides the Renault subdomains, the hacker also defaced the Bulgarian site of Romanian car manufacturer Dacia (dacia.bg). It’s worth noting that Dacia is also owned by Renault.

At the time of writing, the defacement pages have been removed from the sites of Renault and Dacia.

Judging by the hacker’s Zone-H account, over the past period he has focused his efforts on car-related websites. Over the Christmas holidays, Maxn3y has also defaced the site of a German dealership and the one of a Russian automobile club dedicated to Subaru.
