Dare to be Creative has recently updated its batch file renaming utility for Mac OS X, Renamer4Mac. The new release added Spanish localization just before the software went on sale for just $12.95 (over 50% off the retail price) over at Mupromo. Renamer4Mac supports search and replace renaming, numbering files, and converting between lower, upper and mixed case. The app also does regular expression and case sensitive matching.

Renamer4Mac is aimed at simplifying tasks that require renaming big numbers of files. It allows users to rename them by using search & replace, insert/overwrite of text, the number the files and convert upper/lowercase.

A light user interface and a real-time preview feature help users see how the files will be named as they're actually doing the configuring. Assigning new names is also simple with an easy-to-use text search or with flexible regular expressions, convert upper and lower case and number files.

Main features of Renamer4Mac include the ability to batch rename large numbers of files in seconds with just a drag, a drop, and a click; a live preview for instant feedback on new filenames in order to find errors and fine-tune results; the ability to rename with simple text search or with flexible regular expressions.

Renamer4Mac is 100% written for Mac OS X, according to Dare to be Creative, and is localized in English, French, German, Italian and Japanese. Last updated on November 4, 2008, the application is also localized in Spanish now.

Renamer4Mac costs US$26 to buy. The trial version includes all features, with no other limitations, except for the 10 days time limit.  Renamer4Mac is Universal Binary, meaning it runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. Use the link provided below to download Renamer4Mac.
